EARNSHAW PLAYS

Welcome to the website of Tony Earnshaw, writer. Please browse the pages and find detail of plays, poems, and other work including links to license holders for performance.

Tony Earnshaw has been writing for many years and writing has been his main focus since 2008. Prior to that Tony used his writing skills within his local community for a number of years including writing the Millennium Revue, The Man That Gave The Year Its Number.

Tony’s poetry has also been used for the benefit of communities further afield. Following a sponsored bike ride in Kenya, Tony’s imagination and heart was captured by the charity, New Ways, and he went on to publish a book of poems sold to raise funds for this charity.

More recently, Tony received the Michael Caine Award for Best New Writing at the Leatherhead Drama Festival 2009 and 2011 and the Best New Writing award at the Woking Drama Festival in 2013. He also won the national award for new writing, the George Taylor Memorial Award, in 2010. His plays have been performed in London and the south east, and in Edinburgh and New York.
